I'm not in a bad mood anymore. There's a Klingon noun that means "One who is loved." It's "bang." Whoot fucking whoot.

Morons.
I just heard an NPR interview with some woman named Hoylan-Hillward or something of this nature. She's the leader of A.N.S.W.R. - Act Now to Stop War and Racism - the organization behind Saturdays million-person-strong peace march in D.C. She personified everything wrong with the left tonight. She was unable to answer a simple yes or no question in under three minutes (a problem found throughout the political arena) and she took things too personally. Some right-wing nut-case wrote an article that somehow linked A.N.S.W.R. with one of the European communist parties. Hillward went on a long pontification about the motives of the guy who wrote the article, comparing him to McCarthy, when the best sound bite by far was, "We could give a shit about the party affiliation of our members." Save the good rhetoric for when you need it.
But that's just a larger cover for my big problem with the left today. Reactionary anti-Americanism. The modern American left aligns itself with countries that President Bush is hostile towards without independent thought. Thats annoying enough in a situation like Iraq or Korea, where Bush is wrong - but it's especially wrong in Palestine/Isreal, where Bush happens to be right. Universities, grassroots movements and the rest have allied themselves with the Palestinian Authority, a government that stones people for cheating on their spoues, tortures queers, and whose closest allies are dedicated to killing Jews.
The idea seems to be that Bush is actively dedicated to picking the wrong side in every conflict, and that we should automatically oppose him on everything. But in reality, he simply can't string together a coherent foreign policy of any kind. We're fond of pointing out that President Bush is a complete idiot, yet we base our decisions on his decisions. I don't expect intependent thought from the conservatives - it runs counter to their philosophy, nearly without exception. But progressives should take pride in our intelligent opposition to this administration, not a blood fued.
Fucking morons.

I got this cool little weekly planner yesterday. Well, I procured this cool little weekly planner yesterday. Whatever. The point is it's cool.
I spent a lot of time with Wendy St. James talking about leaving West. She has all these little programs she wants me to mix-and-match (BYU mail-in credits, Woodland Hills courses, and such) to get my diploma done. It's the most appealing offer - I still take two (maybe three) courses at West, which keeps enrolled and running Tech.
I'm convinced they could do it without me now, though - at least one person is aware enough of what's going on to know I might be leaving. That's all the proof I need to know that it would be OK if I did.
But Wendy's ideas are still the best. The only problem is cost - it would be about three hundred dollars, maybe more. And I just got those dents banged out of the car. Damn it. I need to inherit a large fortune and a small harem.
You can still make good investments, even with the economy the way it is. Maybe I'd be better off with a small fortune and a large harem.

Well, I got a burocratic runaround today. Ah, well. C.J. said the Horizonte thing was, "Probably a good thing for you." Considering the fact that C.J. is deservedly considered the best source for academic advice at West (and maybe in all of Utah) I'm now pretty dead set in favor of the idea.
That's all I've really done the past few days. I saw the Golden Globes, and lost my long-running bet that Jack Nicholson will be drunk every single time he recieves an award. Damn that Valium of his! Also saw three movies in a row Monday - good times. And I was shaken by a sudden flight of fancy that involved beating the hell out of Seth. Prolly just not getting enough sleep.
